St Ives Water Colours
St Ives in Cornwall is well known as a place with extraordinary light. Theses images were taken from Porthminster Beach. With a little tweaking, I managed to bring out the different colours that exist in what our eyes perceive to be clear waters.
I didn't expect there to be such a range and vibrancy. People that have seen these images over the years have often guessed that the shots were taken off some Mediterranean Island rather than off the shores of St Ives. However, those familiar with the area will be able to spot Godrevy Lighthouse in the distance.
