Mental health is a subject we tend to avod, the fear of the unknown, probably. There is a great need for education at all levels. |

I was astonished that there is so little help for sufferers. I assumed the MoD gave support as a matter of course. As someone who has experienced mental health problems for over 22 years I was impressed with the honesty and public expression of feelings. Thank you. |

Very informative. Insightful for those who know nothing. More public speakers in schools and colleges needed. Doctors need more training in PTSD. |

Helpful to get a veteran's perspective of PTSD and how services could be improved. |
08/09/2014 | C R | Leicester | Challenging Disability through Creativity (Embrace Arts) |
What a powerful, shocking and insightful talk. From an Artist's view not a medical view. I was moved by how what was said resounded with my own views about so many of the issues you highlighted. I will take away a lot from this. Thank you. |

Opened a window on the reality we will face in the future. The handout on using creativity as a coping mechanism really appealed to me. I find it very relatable and would like to further see the work around this. Certainly felt brainwashed by the system, especially when talking about alternative treatment, and mental - physical separation. Great work! |

The session is such an eye opener about a condition called PTSD and generally about mental health issues. The speaker also touched on the link between mental and physical health problems and vice-versa. He also discussed about how NHS is having problem on dealing with mental health problems. This made me realise about other issues such as 'NICE' guidelines and funding on mental health issues. |

It was interesting to hear about different peoples' experiences with PTSD. Especially their views on how they are being treated and whether their treatment is working. I look forward to checking out the website and seeing different photos. Thank you. |

Fascinating and interesting learning to first hand experiences of mental health issues and also how the NHS is not condusive to healing. Would be good to make the workshop more interactive and have more group discussion/debate. |

Very moving speaker. Raised key issues which are highly important in society. Really brought to life the issues war veterans face in terms of the NHS. |

Dear Wolf, |
03/12/13 | John W | LWPTSD | Went to see the WOLF exhibition of images and poems and was lucky enough to talk to the man himself. Suffers from PTSD following military service in N.I.and has suffered bad times from race hatred. His photography and poetry are his way of coping with something that will always be with him. Until you to talk to someone like him you do not realise how inadequate the availability of help for people like him is. VERY HUMBLING and a great exhibition. If you have not been you MUST GO.Talk to "Wolf" if you can as it will help you understand the reason for his superb exhibition. | |
